Best Evidence Summaries of Topics in Mental Healthcare (BEST in MH) is a clinical question-answering service based at the Institute of Psychiatry and funded by Guys’ and St Thomas’ Charity.
We provide critically appraised summaries of guideline, systematic review and randomised controlled trial evidence in answer to questions concerning interventions or treatment in any area of mental health.
We do not provide advice, give recommendations or summarise evidence from less well-conducted studies.
This service is provided free of charge for all providers of mental healthcare within South London and Maudsley NHS trust and South London primary care trusts.
This web site will remain available, but it will no longer be updated.
Individual health care providers are responsible for assessing the applicability of BEST in MH answers to their clinical practice.
